An illustration, not a live yield. Yield at a given price = our verified annual dividend per share ÷ that example price. It isn't calculated from the TradingView price, which we can't read. Your yield depends on the price you actually pay.

How the math works

Preferred dividends are paid on the stated amount ($100 per share for the listed issues), not on the market price. So income per share = rate × $100. Your share price only changes what the shares cost you and the yield you get. Shares needed = target annual income ÷ (rate × $100), rounded up.

Current rate and schedule details: STRF · STRC · STRK · STRD · SATA · SATS. Strategy sets the terms of STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD; Strive sets SATA and SATS. Dividends are declared at the issuer's discretion, rates can change, and payments are not guaranteed.

Only preferreds whose rate and stated amount we confirmed on the issuer's own page or SEC filing are in the calculator. Not included:

  • MERCURY (Class B) (Metaplanet): 4.9% (JPY), verified via issuer disclosure — left out because it's unlisted and has no public price

Start with the Panama guide

Panama's Pensionado needs a lifetime pension of at least B/.1,000 a month. Dividends alone don't count, but a lifetime pension or annuity from a private entity may qualify. See which Panama routes might work and how Panama's territorial tax system treats foreign dividends.
