US tax characterStrategy's Form 8937 says it expects 100% of the Jan 28, 2026 distribution ($0.91666667 per share) to be a non-taxable return of capital to the extent of your tax basis, based on its estimate of zero earnings and profits for 2026. How STRC income and yield work

Dividends are paid on the $100 stated amount, not on the market price. Income per share per year = rate × $100. At 12.00% that is $12.00 a year, so 1,000 shares would earn about $12,000 a year (about $1,000 a month) if every dividend is declared at that rate. Your yield depends on what you pay: yield = (rate × $100) ÷ your price. At a $100 price the yield equals the rate; above $100 it is lower, below $100 higher. The delayed price above is TradingView's; we don't calculate a yield from it.

Tax

For US holders, Strategy's Form 8937 says it expects the January 2026 STRC distribution to be a return of capital, which lowers your cost basis instead of being taxed as a dividend now. See STRC tax treatment: return of capital and STRC and SATA for non-US investors.

Dividends are declared at the issuer's discretion, rates can change, and payments are not guaranteed. Not investment advice.
