Methodology & sources
YieldVisa publishes a fact only when an official primary source confirms it: a government, consulate, or tax-authority page or law, or, for preferred stocks, the issuer's own page or SEC filing. Law-firm articles, blogs and aggregators can point us to a source, but are never enough on their own.
- Facts we can't confirm are shown as “Not yet verified”, with no figure.
- Where two official sources conflict, we list it as conflicting and show neither as fact.
- Every page shows its last-verified date and links each fact to its source.
- Income floors in other currencies are shown in that currency. We don't publish exchange rates; enter your own in the calculator.
- Preferred dividends are calculated on the $100 stated amount from the issuer's filings. Variable-rate issues (STRC, SATA) change; we show the rate on the date checked.
Counts as of 2026-10-26

Some visa rows started from the WhereNext retirement visa requirements dataset, licensed under CC BY 4.0. We changed it: each published fact was re-checked against, and now cites, an official source.
